Popular content creator Valkyrae has announced her return to Twitch after a five-year exclusive partnership with YouTube. Her first stream back will be on January 8, 2024, which coincides with her birthday and marks her 10-year streaming anniversary.

During her time on YouTube, Valkyrae completed three exclusive contracts since 2020. She was part of a larger migration of prominent streamers who left Twitch, including CouRageJD, DrLupo, TimTheTatman, Ludwig, Myth, and Sykkuno.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Valkyrae hinted at the possibility of multistreaming when responding to Ludwig's question about streaming on multiple platforms simultaneously. This suggests she may not be pursuing another exclusive contract.

When Valkyrae initially moved to YouTube in 2020, she cited financial stability and the freedom to focus on content creation without worrying about viewer numbers as key motivators. She also praised YouTube's commitment to improving its livestreaming capabilities based on creator feedback.

Fans can watch Valkyrae's return to Twitch on January 8, where she's expected to share more details about her platform switch and announce a special streaming marathon.
