Urf, the Manatee is a beloved April Fools' Day character in League of Legends who, despite being a "cancelled" champion, has become an iconic mascot for the game, particularly around April 1st celebrations.

According to his lore, Urf was a peaceful manatee who aspired to become a League champion, particularly admiring Jax the Armsmaster. He armed himself with a fish and spatula, representing his manatee heritage and culinary mastery.

Tragically, Urf met his demise on Summoner's Rift when Warwick, disguised as a blue streak from the jungle, attacked him. Only his skin remained, which became the basis for the Urf the Manatee Warwick skin.

The skin was initially priced at 5000 RP but was offered at a 99% discount (50 RP) for the first week, followed by a 90% discount (500 RP) in the second week, before returning to full price on the final day.

Notable Urf-themed content includes:

  • Abilities referencing "I'm On A Boat" by The Lonely Island
  • Multiple champion skins including Urfwick, Urf the Nami-tee, and Urfrider Corki
  • The Ultra Rapid Fire (URF) game mode introduced on April 1st, 2014
  • Various summoner icons and emotes

Urf's legacy continues through regular appearances in League of Legends events and content, particularly during April Fools' celebrations, cementing his status as one of the game's most memorable characters.
