OpTic Texas has made a surprising roster change, bringing back Pred to replace Huke on their starting lineup, just two months after the initial swap.

Pred, who won the 2024 CDL Championship with OpTic, returns after stepping away in December to handle personal issues. The timing is notable as it comes right before Major Two, scheduled to begin on February 14.

The decision has sparked controversy among fans, particularly given Huke's exceptional performance during his brief tenure. According to BreakingPoint.gg, Huke led the league in overall K/D ratio and Hardpoint K/D while with OpTic, making him statistically their best player during Major One.

Despite Huke's strong showing, OpTic could only reach the second round of the elimination bracket in Major One, where they fell 3-1 to the Carolina Royal Ravens. Huke now enters free agency, though his impressive statistics should make him an attractive prospect for other CDL teams.

The upcoming Major Two will conclude with a LAN event hosted by OpTic in Dallas, Texas, starting March 20, where Pred will have his first opportunity to prove this roster change was the right decision.
