
League of Legends Rune Book: Complete Guide to Customization System
A Rune Book stores all your rune configurations for League of Legends. Players can create up to 20 different rune pages to customize their champion's pre-game stats and abilities.

Each rune page contains four types of slots:
- 9 Mark slots
- 9 Seal slots
- 9 Glyph slots
- 3 Quintessence slots
Players unlock rune slots as they level up:
- Mark, Seal, and Glyph slots unlock in sequence
- Quintessence slots unlock at levels 10, 20, and 30
- Tier 2 runes become available at level 10
- Tier 3 runes become available at level 20

Customization Features:
- Create different rune setups for various champions and playstyles
- Rename pages for quick identification (e.g., "ADC" or "Tank")
- Use the same rune in multiple pages without restrictions
- Purchase additional rune pages with IP from the Riot Store
The Rune Combiner (Legacy Feature):
- Combined unused runes to create new ones
- Only worked with runes of the same tier
- Could not combine different tier runes
- Some valuable runes (armor penetration, magic penetration) were not available through combining
- Limited to combining two Tier 3 runes maximum
Players can purchase up to 18 additional rune pages (beyond the 2 default pages) from the store, with bundle deals occasionally available at the start of seasons.
