Originally from Piltover, Singed showed exceptional intellect from childhood. After losing funding at Piltover University for criticizing hextech, he relocated to Zaun where his research flourished unrestricted. He began augmenting himself chemically to work for days without rest.

His most notorious work came during the Noxian invasion of Ionia, where he created devastating chemical weapons that poisoned the land and killed countless people. These weapons were so horrific that even his Noxian allies were disturbed, though they still used them.

Singed is known for his cruel experiments on unwilling subjects, including:
