Rasmus "Caps" Borregaard Winther, G2 Esports' veteran mid-laner, shares his vision for integrating new teammates SkewMond and Labrov into the team's winning formula. After a disappointing World Championship performance, G2 aims to return to international glory with fresh talent.

The new roster debuted at the 2024 Red Bull League of its Own event, where they faced early challenges against Karmine Corp. Despite the setback, Caps praised the newcomers' dedication: "Labrov and SkewMond have been fitting in very well. They're very eager to learn, and they're very driven."

Rather than having new players simply conform to existing strategies, Caps emphasizes the importance of innovation: "We don't want them to just fit into our puzzle; we want them to expand on it." This approach mirrors successful sports teams that maintain dominance by carefully integrating new talent while preserving their winning culture.

The team's practice philosophy remains intensive, even without strong regional competition. Caps explains, "Even if you play games that are maybe more one-sided, you can get as much out of it as your own." He stresses the importance of self-accountability and maintaining high standards regardless of opposition strength.

Looking ahead, G2 begins their LEC campaign on January 18, facing Karmine Corp in their opening match. The team aims to blend their established success with fresh perspectives from their new roster additions, targeting both domestic and international achievements in 2024.
